Mission Statement
The mission of the Glass Arts Collective is to introduce new students and provide a workspace for more advanced artists to explore the wonderful medium of glass. Our studio workshop in Westlake Village is a fully equipped glass making shop with state of the art equipment and tools.
When you enter our light filled airy workshop and see our roomy worktables, racks of gorgeous glass in a rainbow of colors, and review some of the fabulous work executed by our students, we are confidant you will just say….”When can I start...”
There are many opportunities to do just that: beginner classes where you can complete a project in a day and pick it up in a week. Longer workshops for more complex projects. And for students who have taken the basic courses and are ready to work on their own, the opportunity to enroll in hourly, monthly, or on-going studio time and work at your own pace.
Whatever your level of interest, The Glass Arts Collective, is here for you. We offer programs for individuals, families, and groups of all kinds, and we can tailor a workshop to meet your specific needs. We offer classes in many aspects of kilnformed glass including fusing and painting as well as coldworking techniques like stained and mosaic glass. And we’ll be inviting glass practitioners for special programs and workshops in addition to our regular lineup of classes.
So we invite you to give glass a try. It is a very user friendly medium and you will be amazed at what you can and will create. You might even surprise yourself and become one of our group who simply cannot resist this delectable, fun medium and keep coming back for more...and more. Join us!
